Something Mine Poem by Sanjukta Dash

Something Mine

I know this life is not mine
So that whatever attached
My grooming my qualification
My placement social status
And every other attribute
Visible or not
How can I claim that all are mine
This life as a whole is the collective effort
Of so many agents who contribute day in and out
Whether I am the owner or simply a caretaker
Who will justify me?

When it comes to
That favorite pastime
My intense feeling
For those alphabets
Those invaluable creations
Which belong to my undiluted feelings
And the moment I enter into that
Creative zone
I become so possessive
So impulsive to claim aloud
That these are exclusive mine!
