Something To Go Ape Over Poem by Galeigh Parkin

Something To Go Ape Over

I've got a staggering imagination
(especially when I've had a few)
With a bit of exaggeration
I construe my own point of view

Take 'Darwin' for example
And his 'Natural Selection Theory'
As far as I'm concerned
There is a lot that makes me leery

Like the 'Origin Of The Species'
With the various evolutions
That ain't nothing new to me
I draw my own conclusions

So Charley, just keep sailing
On the H.M.S.Beagle (or is it eagle?)
And stare at the raging sea

While I think about you
And my point of view
'You wont make a monkey of me! '
