a source of dignity
an awakening

It can be soft or harsh
peacefully comforting
or a barrier

It can give gratitude
a contagious sense of Joy
encouraging

It can be passive or assertive
submissive
dismissive
unyielding
received
ignored

It can be filling
or sustain a void
gloomy

It can restore reflection
be called upon
stir ideas
or be muted
shunned even...a friend or an enemy


With all this finesse
often a hunch will lead the choice
and there is no weak voice
but if it is withheld for merely approval
perhaps the stifle a selfish course.
