Sometimes Love Just Isn'T Enough Poem by Cody Osterberg

Sometimes Love Just Isn'T Enough

Rating: 0.5

Love,
As wonderful as it may be,
Sometimes just isn't enough.
For what is love,
Without respect,
Without trust,
And without cooperation?
Can you love a liar?
Can you love a thief?
Can you love a dictator?
Do you sometimes ask,
Ask yourself these very questions?
Love,
Sometimes just isn't enough.
It just isn't enough,
It just isn't worth it,
To put forth all the effort,
With no acknowledgment,
No praise,
No nothing.
Love,
Sometimes just isn't enough.
Whats meant to be,
A gratifying relationship,
Sometimes seems,
More like a thankless job.
Love,
Sometimes just isn't enough.
