Somewhere there are blue skies
A place where fields are green, flowers bloom
Streams run cool and refreshing and there is no gloom
Somewhere there is a place where the soul can be nourished
Without much flourish
Somewhere there are blue skies full of sunshine and hope

Somewhere there is a place where people are not cruel
Where friends do not use and abandon you
And the love of your life does not lie to your face
Somewhere there is a place where intentions are true
And the past is welcoming
Somewhere there are people with true hearts of love

Somewhere there is a place where dreams can come true
In which things we hope and plan for years
Are not dashed on the rocks of lies and betrayal
Somewhere there is a place where it is safe to love forever
Where music plays
Somewhere there is a place like where once we did share love

Somewhere there is a place where all this hurt goes away
And my heart does not beat fast with pain and sorrow
And where tomorrow is a day to anticipate with joy
Somewhere there is a place where the pain stops
Where we were in love
Somewhere there is a place for me to yet belong
