Somewhere Further Away Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

Somewhere Further Away

Somewhere further away I see the moon, oh it shines like the light in my eyes.
I hear sounds In the night, you hear the voices in the distance ahead.

I know I hear the sounds of the night, it feels so nice just to be out here under these stars.
But somewhere further away I see the moon as it shines in my eyes.

Standing out here in middle of the night, just looking out to those stars, while I think about everything In my life. Picture perfect like a frame, I see your face with a smile. Make that moment forever planted in my head.

Somewhere further away I see you in the distance, I think your looking at me or I could be seeing something else.

Further away I began to see that moon, those stars I see so clearly.
Oh it seems like you are so far away, can I be with you tonight?

Seems like you are the star that shines so bright, but still your so far away.
Why can't I be with you, you know I am thinking of you.

But somewhere you are there, want to feel your touch and the warmness of your hands.
