Song: An Undiscovered Country Poem by Dave SmithWhite

Song: An Undiscovered Country

There's a new world that's coming; that's what we know for sure.
There's a beat that's softly drumming that chills us to our core.
It's called the great transition; a new vision for us all.
And so we must embrace it, and face it lest we fall.

There's a place of magic thinking where fear is spiced with hope.
Where the eye of god is winking that mortal angst is dope.
With logics odd and shrinking as reason flees the brain,
But the feathered quill needs inking to scratch the vellum's skein.

It's a wild ride - a yearning that plays on without pride.
A song of love and learning that can never be denied.
Or tossed aside.
It's luck and chance and fortune that comes to mind recalled,
When there's nothing left but sorrow,
Not defined, but forever stalled.

For this guy is not for turning - in that he has no clue,
But to reveal he's always burning and stuck on you like glue.

There's a black hole in my cruel heart I never meant to show.
A rising tide of darker arts in flood and overflow.
I'll storm the frag[le ramparts for at it's base it's low;
As my soul re-boots and re-starts I'll find my inner glow.

It's expanded space, a real place with a trace of added leaven,
That rises like some baker's pies like an engine fully revving.
It's said it chimes with peeled rhymes,
It's six times seventh heaven.
And out of ten it goes with Zen and surely scores eleven!

There's a place in the cosmos that everyone should know,
That is free from the chaos that daily grows and grows.
It gives us grounding like an anchor that keeps us somewhat sane,
And together we will find it, if together we remain.
