IT WAS A HOLY LOVE AND IT COULD ONLY BE HOLY! After PARSIFAL, TRISTAN UND ISOLDE is my favorite opera and you have expressed its origins in the Wagner/ Marie Wesendonk affair. And your poem embodies the spiritual intensity of a love which consumes the lovers. Where are they at the end when Isolde sees a vision of Tristan summoning her - it's a mystery but so profound, and beautiful beyond words. I'm putting a copy of your poem inside my cd case so I can read it while listening to the performance. That listening answers all questions just by its sweeping force. It's great to finally know someone else who loves and lives this music

Her song has faded out upon the meadows worldly. It was a holy love, And could be only holy. Nice lines, Love is pure, Love is holy........10
