Songs Of Sirens Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Songs Of Sirens

Songs of sirens

With sirens
Sound or name
I align my plane on runway
And take off into laps
Go deep in now and past
Oceans' Girls, ambulance…
With road-race to heal, care
In truck medicines, stretchers.

Pull to right as law says
See truck honk and light
Hear brakes with a sound.

Ambulance hits man and overruns
Watching this flames thoughts:
"Have you heard shout, cries?
In mountains, in plains and deserts…
How about the wounded in the war? "
And questions turn to birds
Same feather they flock
Yes I have been a part
How I wish I had not
Seeing things
Open eyed
With love-care
Adds to pain
When poor and unable
To reach out to spare
A coin…the lowest…
