Sonnet 1 - Young Is The Love Poem by Jodyann Wright

Sonnet 1 - Young Is The Love

Do you think that young ones can fall in love,
When they are younger than the age sixteen?
Impossible in most the youths thereof.
But not in others with a different gene.

Some young people are very mature,
Their emotions develop at a speed,
That is very hasty and premature,
And the pace of their age it does exceed.

Even though this experience is rare,
It is not right to say it isn’t so.
To say it is not love creates despair.
Breaks hearts and of the young inspires woe.

Instead of looking down upon young love,
Please make sure you’re gentle as a dove.
