Sonnet Poem by Corina Vitale

Sonnet

The cottage on the hillside maybe mine
If only my heart were to speak its name
Shall I sit on a sandy shoreline and dine?
On the shinning sunrise and feel no shame
Or shall I cry my pain and desire
For the things that have been lost in shadow
Flailing like a dieing race on fire
Sniveling in anguish towards my fellow
As I’m seated thinking of things to come
I see a hope now crashing through the sky
For as it may be I can tell of some
Who might find a way and able to fly
I’ve made my mind up to live with no strife
And see in the world a beautiful life.
