Sonnet: As I Lay In The Meadow, I See Thee, Poem by Selina Gurgacz

Sonnet: As I Lay In The Meadow, I See Thee,

As I lay in the meadow, I see thee,
In my head, I try to escape this dream,
There are times where we all want to be free,
Flow like a river, or even a stream.
There are times when I feel empty inside,
Times when I feel like I wish I could fly,
My feelings for you, I know I should hide,
If you say no, I know that I will cry.
Sometimes that love can be so confusing,
I don’t know why but you’re like a brother,
The times in our lives we spend reviewing,
Our lives, our loves, our times with each other.
That same green meadow in which I do lay,
I do think of you and wish you good day.
