Sonnet: Dear Doctor Brother Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Dear Doctor Brother

Forget the past, however bitter, Man!
Begin now Life, anew, afresh again;
With Will-power, perform great things, one can;
There is a time for Sun; a time for Rain.

The chances life gives us are not many;
A married-man has an extra duty,
To tend to dependent souls; Be canny;
Experience the Almighty’s great beauty.

God knows your heart; your strength and weaknesses;
But Man must listen to His call always;
Never mind your sins, mistakes, past excesses;
Become a leaf anew; amend your ways.
There’s Light still at the end of the tunnel!
You must come out now from your self-made Hell.
