O I perceive Love's last, forlorn traces
Living cold and lonely out on the limb!
Life's sweet lullabies and soft embraces
Seem to have passed you by. Yet deep within
Your pale blue eyes, I can sense the warm glow
Of new possibilities growing, and
Perhaps the end of your prolonged sorrows.
Fleeting glimmers of hope, I understand,
All too well. Yet, sometimes they can slowly bloom,
Amidst this wanton world of mass deceit,
Into bright flowers of sumptuous Truth.
Despite your suffering, do not retreat
Back into the darkest realms of ennui.
Communion's clear light will set you free.
