Sonnet: God Knows Best Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: God Knows Best

Rating: 0.5

God told to ask and it would be given;
I do not know whatever’s good for me;
Before I ask, devils be out driven;
My body, mind should be of sins afree!

God knows my wants and so, I do not ask;
He cares for me and loves me dearly too;
But doing things to God is not a task;
So, pray we must: our duty we must do.

God does most things, much miraculously;
He knows the ideal time to tend to needs;
We must not think of things always earthly;
For Heaven’s sake, we must do more good deeds.

God knows the devils’ schemes unseen and seen;
Our Good shepherd knows where the grass is green!
