Sonnet: God Loves Righteousness Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: God Loves Righteousness

O help me Lord to look beyond the fog!
This heavy I can’t withstand for long;
And sometimes it is thicker and called smog;
But soon in light and warmth, I’ll be among.

The God in us directs us to do good;
Let anything stand in our way and yet,
In sun or rain or wind/ slippery mud,
We must not hesitate or fume or fret.

God gives good men the intuition to look
Beyond the many hassles that hinder;
The good and bad are mentioned in His Book,
And woes are but the Maker’s reminder!

God will not lose a single soul He loves!
His righteous men are akin to white doves!
