Sonnet: God Prevails Ultimately Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: God Prevails Ultimately

Despite the evil rampant upon earth,
Good things prevail in unexpected ways,
And bring to people all, succor and mirth,
Although delayed at times, in slower pace.

Despite injustice hurting, harming souls,
And vices infiltrating nations much,
Reprieve of justice comes as Maker doles
To poor and downtrodden with magic touch.

Despite atrocities that's found galore,
God ushers fairness strangely in His time,
And virtuous become more earthlings more,
As mind and heart of man are made sublime.

The God of goodness, fairness triumphs when
Like rain comes hope to parched lands from heaven.
