God take away the urge to sin from me;
My body’s weary from devils’ assaults;
The devils come to tempt me frequently;
My weakened spirit leads me to more faults!
God, tell me how I can be pure of heart?
I succumb to temptations so often;
I fail to learn the devils’ wily part;
Forgive me Lord: May your anger soften!
World’s sinfulness has grown in leaps and bounds;
Just say the word and my soul shall be healed;
Protect us Lord from Satan’s frantic hounds;
Make pure my heart and let entrance be sealed!
The devils roam the world in search of souls;
The Holy Spirit thwarts their evil roles!
