Sonnet: Happy Wedding Anniversary, Dear Dad And Mom

God blessed a man, woman, as husband, wife!
This marriage holy stood the tests of time;
The bond was strange but love prevailed in life;
It stayed steadfast despite inclement clime.
Such lovely parents, world may not have seen!
They slogged for family, burning mid-night oil;
Their memories in mind are evergreen;
What God had joined was safe and none dare spoil.
The golden jubilee was proof of love!
Their love of God and neighbour was quite high;
Their righteous ways brought grace of God above;
Thus children follow parents till they die!
The Sacrament of Matrimony's true!
The Holy Spirit tells us what to do!
Fondly dedicated to our loving parents

Such lovely parents, world may not have seen!
They slogged for family, burning mid-night oil... //.... Full of love and feelings, this occasion was indeed unforgettable and to be cherished by the children and grand children were celebrating the 50th wedding anniversary of their parents and grand parents. Such families should be considered fortunate in these changing times.
