Sonnet, Is There A Love Song (From, The Lost Sonnets) Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Sonnet, Is There A Love Song (From, The Lost Sonnets)

Is there a love song once more in your heart,
Pleasures new giving that slept all before;
Where is this leading where will it start,
Shall you be fulfilled with even some more.
Can there be peaceful evenings to go to,
After a crude war has been once started;
Will a lonesome love song ever be true,
If respect to your neighbour is all departed.

You can wish for some more maybe you think,
That's not giving faithful peace to this earth,
Compromising with fate other ties gives;
Alone in the end like an eye that you blink,
Making each your time not its living worth,
Not reassure to what continues and lives.
