You taught your pupils as well as you could;
You got their praises for the job well done;
You fed your students hearty, mental food;
You brought in darkness, academic sun!
You drove their ignorance by well made points;
You wove their ken into a fabric fine;
You made the learner slow, move all his joints;
You left a class of medicos that shine!
A glorious work, you put in throughout life;
You loved the teaching profession by heart;
Ethics remained in things you did, so rife;
You lit the flame of knowledge by your art!
Kudos, dear doctor teacher for your feat;
Your students' hearts in unison all beat.
Respectfully dedicated to a great senior medical teacher colleague
