Sonnet: Life, An Uphill Task For Righteous Souls Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Life, An Uphill Task For Righteous Souls

Rating: 5.0

How do the righteous live an honest life,
When things around are evil to the core?
How do the honest, battle stress and strife,
When opens not another newer door?

The highly corrupt world in chaos lies;
The common man is hardest hit always;
From Nature’s furies, he suffers and dies;
The upright find it tough to eke their days.

Yet, wealth can’t solve all problems faced on earth;
Each human being ought to be humane;
We must be thankful for our human birth;
Ill-gotten wealth should not make one, insane.

Success in life is not in human pow’r;
The grace of God must rain from heaven’s bow’r.

Each human being must be humane. This expectation is correct, however, in this materialistic consumerism prevailing in the world and cut throat competition to show one up man ship, it appears that it is difficult to be fulfilled. Thank you very much Doctor, for diagnosis of the social illness and prescribing correct medicine. Thanks for sharing.10 points. Regards.
