Sonnet: Life’s Realities (Father’s Day,2015) Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Life’s Realities (Father’s Day,2015)

I left a family that was not my own –
Extended one through undue affection,
That happened all in my work-spot alone –
But that which turned almost a contagion!

The memories of my yester-years are green!
I feel I’m continuing still o’er there;
In truth, the place is now one what I’ve been;
I’m quite aware of all inmates’ welfare.

Life can’t remain the same throughout life-time;
We have our ‘ups and downs’, the peaks and vales;
At times, the dollar’s value equals dime!
Each individual inhales and exhales.

But we must spend our lives the best we can;
For this purpose, the Maker made each man.

Fondly dedicated by the former Dean, Prof. Dr. A.Celestine Raj Manohar M.D.,
to all his co-workers at IRT PMC&H, RTS and IRT SoN, Perundurai
on Father’s Day,2015
