Love is the thing by which God made our earth;
Love is the thing that saves us from dangers;
Love is the thing by which God gave man, breath;
Love is the thing that binds neighbors, strangers.

Love is the thing that creatures on earth seek;
Love is the thing we expect in friendship;
Love is the thing that rules man's heart, mind meek;
Love is the thing that thrills hearts in courtship.

Love is the thing that binds a family;
Love is the thing a teacher gives pupils;
Love is the thing we ought to give fully;
Love is the thing that every man's heart fills.

Love is the thing that gives meaning to life;
Love is the thing that binds man, God in strife.
