Sonnet No.2 - Poem by Sabine Borrageiro

if you should chance upon an elf
dancing barefoot upon dewy grass
he may seem solemn, within himself
stop nonetheless, do not pass
him by, my message to impart
to the elf with hazel-green eyes
a song he's left within my heart
mysterious beauty therein lies
tell him that the music's dimming
it echoes through my soul
i need to hear his sweet voice singing
to once again feel whole
then take his hand, bring him home
there is no need to dance alone
