Sonnet: People Nowadays! Poem by Dr John Celes

Yes, everyone whoev’r I meet is queer!
They want to earn money in rapid style;
The bond of love is gone for near and dear;
Unfit to walk, most want to run life’s mile!

A mobile phone is ‘glued’ to every ear;
One’s time is used to clinch off ‘bigger deals’!
Most persons travel miles without much fear;
There is just time for foods-fast and not meals!

The family members scarcely talk / listen;
Their gestures look unreal and clumsy;
With dwindling health, gone is their fore-vision;
They drink aerated waters like‘Pepsi’!

No time for soul- That’s how modern men live;
With greed in sinful hearts, no pie they give!
