Sonnet: Protect Human Lives First
A human life is more precious than else;
Kindness to beasts is good but has limits;
Endangered lives by rabid dog-bite tells;
No road is safer when studded with pits!
Why protect animals wild free in towns?
All risks to human life must be annulled;
You shouldn't save monkeys, snakes, street-dogs like clowns;
Efforts to protect men must be channeled.
We must not cruel be to beasts, okay;
One human life carelessly lost is crime;
Security to mankind must well stay;
Preserve the wild in forests dense as prime.
Protecting human life is paramount;
All other lives are next and need not count.
