Sonnet: Rip, Oh, Human Soul! Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Rip, Oh, Human Soul!

God knows you did your part so well indeed;
And now, your brother sleeps in Lord's embrace;
Though Polio-stricken, he remained good seed;
He's gone to be with God with heaven's gaze!

He suffered much; you suffered too for him!
God only knows why he was made like this;
Bereavement leaves the living ones' lives grim;
But he has left for eternity's bliss!

The human body, mind can't suffer long;
God sees each heart He made with loving care;
In time, He stops His way, each earthly song!
Christ knows when human beings cannot bear!

The righteous ones will take things as God's Will!
Good souls are headed for divine life, still!

‘May the departed soul RIP in Christ! '
Most lovingly dedicated to (late) Selvan Antony Paul, Cbe
