Sonnet: Spouse Poem by Dr John Celes

Each spouse who comes into our family
Is pre-destined by God, chosen by us;
Even the ones quite ‘accidentally’,
If we can plead, God surely will then bless!

Each spouse has come to share our sorrows, joys,
And help us live a righteous life on earth;
Ignoring iniquities, we rejoice,
While treading road to our heavenly mirth!

For, marriages are made in heaven, sure!
No one may dare to break such bonds of love;
Sometimes, as human beings, we may err;
But God will help us to fulfill this vow!

Accept God-arranged spouse with due regards;
God will arrange to shower due rewards!
