Sonnet: The Need For Wisdom Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: The Need For Wisdom

How further lies can lead you to success?
How longer can you dupe the world around?
How can a lazy person get prowess?
How can mere paper-work improve the ground?

Realities will speak the truth some day;
Just truth prevails in every sphere of life;
Pretence will get unfolded in some way;
Intelligence can't block on-coming strife!

'Tis better veering to the side of truth;
One's honesty prevents catastrophe;
Just camouflage can't hide a poison fruit;
All human beings sincere ought to be!

Short-cuts can't yield the fame, name one intends;
Perseverance with aim, success portends.
