Sometimes, the cup we sip from is but gall!
And cannot quench the thirst despite the drink;
The cup of woes sometimes may come to all,
Before we leave or live or slowly sink.
Nevertheless, we ought to keep going,
Until our life on earth can ebb someday;
And lose our heart, we mustn’t human being;
No matter what hurdles may come our way.
Carry on life with cheer and always smile;
No one knows when our journey sees its end;
No one knows when one walks his last mile;
To death, our cruel fate, we all must bend.
Live life the way God wants each one of you;
Rewards on earth could be quite worthless too!
