Sophie's Braces Poem by Courtenay Inchbald

Sophie's Braces

Sophie Maher
Has lovely hair
But wires all over her teeth

All kinds of muck
Tends to get stuck
Like cornflakes and carrots and beef

It's really not fair
And some people stare
But the inconvenience is brief

People may scoff
But soon they'll come off
And then she'll have lovely teeth
