Tax Or Audit (A Poem For Accountancy Interns) Poem by Courtenay Inchbald

Tax Or Audit (A Poem For Accountancy Interns)

To tax, or to audit, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to shuffle
The earnings and assets of outrageous fortunes;
Or to cross arms against the Revenue's muddles,
And by opposing, correct them:
not to lie, just to keep
much more.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
After their internships, prospective accountants much chose between the tax and audit functions.
