singer sing your soul songs
make hungry people happy sad
or exultant in your concerts
while we writers of words
must pay with our writ lives
our souls blood in our veins
we unseen voices of peace
fight sources feeding on wars
demons who sow waste lands
sing your songs in gift peace
siren joy we soul purchase
with our lives freely for thee
