Soulless Moon Poem by Joshua Mccoy

Soulless Moon

The artic chill of these barren streets awake me from my numb isolated paradise I live in back home as I struggle for a wandering stream of light from a imposing slim metal pole overlooking a dim part of the city while its brethren are scattered among corners everywhere. I stare down at the blades of frozen grass among the frost and wonder why shadow has replaced the brilliant luster of the moon, glowing bright red with lust, had disappeared to
Had he fallen under mountains of love and sought refuge under the delicate fingertips of a loving gothic goddess and her unforgettable forbidden marks of beauty easily placed upon one’s neck?
Or
Has he given in into his own temptation and entered the domain of another’s vessel and deeply penetrated repeatedly until love and sweat dripped;
Down upon blissful purple sheets of joy and pleasure,
Seeped through red velvet blankets of uncontrollable desire and sheer delight,
And lastly, violently shook a silky black mattress of intense passion surmounted by a thick layer of longful howls for “harder” “faster” and “don’t stooop”

A perfect scene for this beloved merging of one

But when the soul soothing blends of ooohs and ahhhs have stopped and tender necks burn red with love marks from unbridled intensity that set the soul ablaze has sizzled down to dying embers
Where do you rest to recover your strength after repeated use?
And
Why won’t you hurry back to me when I need you most?
