Space is a natural need
It's for breathing and exhaling,
Space for growth as with a seed
And basically, space for just being.
It is the core of freedom
Where thoughts and feelings soar,
That area in time where we become
All that we were created for.
To limit space is suffocating
To deny it, dreadful imprisonment,
To take it away is fully tormenting
The denial of right, a punishment.
We all need space even from others
Our own little sphere of who we are
Those tranquil moments we own to ponder
Thoughts of nature, of life, of stars.

So very true Cynthia - I guess that's one of the reasons why imprisonment is a punishment for wrongdoers. To remove one's liberty is punishment indeed. A great poem, very well written.
