Space Poem by Myrtle Glo Oliquino

Space

Sometimes I watch you sleep
And cannot help but weep
There is longing somewhere deep
But it's a secret I must keep.

From the corner of my eyes, I watch
And think maybe we're not a match
Oh, but I'm just so attached
Like there's an anchor within latched.

So I wear a smile for you
Though inside me I just knew
That in quiet nights, albeit a few
There's a space inside that's not for you.
