Struggle Poem by Myrtle Glo Oliquino

Struggle

Rating: 5.0

Silence roared its deafening cry
Breaking the walls I chose as facade
Exposing tears I'd choose to dry
With my mask gone, everything looks bad.

Aimless steps I have been making
Bumping and falling, still I get up
For the light, I have been waiting
But darkness keeps coming, it won't stop.

With all my might, I scream in pain
Yet my voice fails me and no sound comes
My weary hands reach out in vain
Please hear, I just need some loving arms.

I close my eyes and still it roars
So in bitterness instead I wallow
Minding no more, I close all doors
Bleeding, I nurse my heart that's gone hollow.
