Spare me please, mother
Let me see this beautiful world for once,
Let me feel the warmth of your touch,
the love of your lips,
Let me hear,
your sweet voice,
The sound of laughter,
the tender words of my brother,
All the earthly music,
of which I have long heard of.
The place where I come from,
is so full of good things,
That, I never wanted to leave,
until God told me one day
that there is a better place,
He told me of all those
wonderful things you do.
About the beautiful mountain peaks,
The pure water of little streams,
Of birds and animals,
their marvelous world,
He told me I am going home,
‘Home’ and I felt elated……..
Spare me, mother,
Don’t send me back,
For all my friends there will ridicule me,
as they ridiculed my sister,
Your first daughter.
Why did you send her back?
With her delicate face marred with bruises,
her limbs torn apart,
as though ripped by some cruel claws! ! !
Was it because you thought
she would be naughty?
Mother, I promise I won’t
do any mistake,
But don’t send me back,
Is being a girl a crime?
God told me, the world is for everyone
Then why do you deny me,
Please mother,
Let me play with my brother
Let me live,
Let me grow
Let me see your wonderful world
Spare me please mother,
Spare me…..
