Spare Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Spare

Spare, as, era, pea, asp, apes, peas, are, reap, rap, rape;
Say to the king and the queen of my town that, they should humble themselves!
For the time of war is at hand;
Because the people have failed to understand the true meaning of peace,
And the summer rains have set in.

Spare, sear, ape, rapes, raps, spear, ear, sap sera;
Take a minute to think about the first war in your town!
And like the moment of the next war at hand;
Because your people have failed to understand the true menaing of peace!
But the summer rains have now set in.
