Sparing Conversations Poem by Vagi Samuel Jnr

Sparing Conversations

Tell me a joke that I may not laugh
I may not glee at all but to its spell I will jest
But even if I did show my Colgate teeth
Does that encapsulate a chuckle?

Let me chuckle to the nothingness of your utterance
You can devour me to the thrust of evil
If a bad constitutes a humour in disguise
Will that be a subject of good or bad?

You can create a bad impression on me
Get all the loose ends and hail your beauty
But if I am that ugly and you are a princess
Will that make me a shrek or a jerk?

Define jerk?
A looser without a handsome face!
What is a princess then?
A loner without the rescue of a jerk
