Speachless Poem by Curry Bascue

Speachless

I’m speechless.
Every night I go to bed with a pain inside me,
It’s a pain in my head,
It’s the thought of you.
As if I am talking to a stranger now,
A ray of sun shine that broke through after the rain,
Is now an unwelcome guest.
I watch you slowly hide behind the clouds again.
I will continue to fake for a while.
Fake that I still care,
Fake that I still remember how I felt all those days ago.
Fake my smile, as if you still make me happy,
You depress me now.
Don’t you understand?
If only I remembered the happy way you used to act,
Maybe I’d still feel like before.
Now it’s going through the motions.
I hope you hold tight to my hand,
Or let me go.
Because right now,
I don’t know what you want.
I’m speechless.
