Special Delivery Poem by Gary James Smith

Special Delivery

Rating: 5.0

Special Delivery

In "special delivery" came our Lord
In clothes of swaddling
Who would have thought that such a babe
Would be our King of kings
No wonder those words resonate
Still resonate they do today
"Let the children come unto me
Do not turn them away"

Our Father loves a child-like faith
For the faith of a child believes
And when we receive the Lord as such
A blessed Salvation's received
For in the weakness of our flesh
On our own we shall never arise
But praise God for the Victor over death
Who threw old Satan a suprise

We barely know of Jesus life
But enough has been told of Him
How He loved people to the max
And was quick to forgive their sin
Just a repentant heart required
To set each captive free
Is yours prepared to accept this One
Who is God's "special delivery"

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
