I sit and I wonder
as I stare in a trance
in those eyes made of gold
that makes my heart dance.
Amazing silence
that makes me smile
an addictive voice
which makes it so vile.
I think I hear it
your voice so sweet
instead it was
just my heart beat.
You're my first love
I can never forget
the way our eyes
first met.
That day still haunts
my thoughts and dreams
when we spoke so well
no pauses in between.
How often these days,
they seem to fill,
that silence that says
' I love you still '
