Speed Demon Poem by Quintin Bouillon

Speed Demon

Racing down the highway at breakneck speeds
He doesn't bother to stop to smell the flowers.
Every drive with him is an adrenaline user
Catapulting from an airplane, fighting a bull,
Or running into a burning building without equipment.
Every time he is out alone you worry about him
Hoping he is ok, begging he won't crash
But he laughs as the bloody face that is death confronts him,
And speeds away, avoiding it once again.
JJ shouldn't stand for John Jacob,
But Maybe Jumping Jack Flash, as he slams the pedal to the floor
As continues to scare our family
Day after Day.
