Speeding Clouds And Tortoise Dinosaurs Poem by David Thomas

these clouds speed so fast
swooshing flowing existing
over every little one of us,
there is no wonder in how they move
we know great winds push them forth,
but unlike these tortoise your (our) love
blossoms like that of a slowly moving dinosaur
with such great poise and rarity
that no one wants to lose sight of it,
and so forever we will continue on
there's no limits
there's no bars,
we just crawl and crawl towards love
one slow foot after another
hoping to make it one day
before we are too late,
love will last forever
but our aged, beautiful bodies will not
so we push to love while we are young
in hopes of never growing old alone,
tortoise love is serious after-all,
it's forever.
