Spinning Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Spinning

Spinning

I leave world
-all for you; to
-have it, to enjoy

Tie my hands
-shackle legs
-and crush
-set me on
-a noose on
-the gallows

I beg you, bow to you
-leave the wealth all to you
-have them all for free
-let me go
-help me go
-get some sword
-squeeze in my heart

I saw when four of them
-were pushed in car's trunk…
-more than ten were between
-seats, sidewalls

Smuggled are Afghans…
-to Iran and there on…
-heads, faces are covered
-I have worn same Dastar,
-to hide me in truck;
-in deserts, to cross.

Like their eyes
-were my eyes; in face, white
-as if bats flying in the dust…

Unlike you in White House
-or beer in hand and, a TV in front
-I feel them on death's path
-shared with them time-to-die…
-felt joke of burying in the sand
-please help, let me go, had enough!
