Spirit Love Poem by Rik Bertrand

Spirit Love

I have been overcome with a wave of passion
My heart pitter patters, and this is not in my fashion.
I have been touched by a spirit of the long ago past,
A spirit that I have been waiting for, and has come at last.

I am overcome by feelings of love and happiness,
And I have fallen into an emotional abyss, I confess.
My soul has embedded into this spirit, this wonder.
And my heart is sounding like Zeus's thunder.

Forgive me for my thoughts are entwined,
They are searching for an answer in which to bind.
I am temporally without reason or doubt,
I am captured and tied, until this love I can draw out.

I am clueless of its origin, but I do have my theories,
Oh, it's so hard to concentrate with these emotional flurries.
Why do I search for the creator of this… loving bliss?
Is it because I want that first…. everlasting kiss?

I have never, never, ever felt this way before.
I want to be with the spirit,
this teapot from which this love does pour.
I need touch, and taste, with hugs and compassion,
To complete this overbearing wave of passion.

Forgive me for I am not who I am,
Forgive me but I am only a man.
I have been struck by a spirit full of love,
And this spirit is the only thing I can really think of.

Spirit, who has stolen my heart, my soul, my love,
I shall never let you go, you are always who I am thinking of.
Please don't ever leave me or set me free,
For I am now and ever a servant of thee.

REB (MARCH 2012) because I feel something inside of me, I am Happy.
