Spiritual Mission & Pilgrimage! Poem by Luke Easter

Spiritual Mission & Pilgrimage!

God Almighty, I spread the highest honor, praise and glory,
An unworthy sinner Father has allowed to share his story,
The end of earthly habitation I strive to earnestly purpose,
As every unplanted weed I meet shall bloom into a Rose.

Can I not, for if my life weren’t secure in His loving grasp,
I shudder to look back and wonder how long I could last?
Dare I do anything other than be a servant of God & man?
Proverbs 3: 5, trusting Him because who can understand?

The end is not drifting away don’t get lost in a spirit of fear,
Church is the last stop before Armageddon the final frontier,
“For God so loved the world” still, many do not love back, ”
John 3: 16, assures we are never alone when under attack,

Not that He doesn’t have many sons but time truly begins,
Once we’ve confessed Jesus is Lord, confessing our sins,
We are only on the battlefield because of unending grace,
Soldier in a blood covered uniform I proudly take my place.

True spirit of the Messiah drowning in love, a well so deep,
Not only has Jesus kept but a promise to continually keep,
Preaching amongst the masses, till my final breath is thru,
Uplifting the kingdom via Lamentations, “fresh and anew.”

Could have summoned a legion of angels, choose to stay,
An example to all disciples & to be one is to not run away,
Many professions oh a multitude of different career paths,
A soul saved, the devil’s defeat, this is the greatest laugh.

Many desire that mountain, a summit, as the world goes by,
Choosing a hands on view from the pulpit with my battle cry,
For an echo can be misleading not knowing when it’s heard,
Is that an original message, the second or maybe the third?

“I planted the seed, Apollos watered but God made it grow, ”
1st Corinthians 3: 6-7, and as we are nothing without God so,
No 1 who ever spoke the word of God has failed to mention,
Neither is it about to start with Reverend Willie J. McClinton.

Aiming to seek the Master’s will I seek no fortune or fame,
A most humble mouthpiece of good news, in Jesus’ name.
It is high time to cease the plundering of biblical sacrilege,
Yes! This is my assigned, “Spiritual Mission & Pilgrimage! ”

w/Reverend Willie J. McClinton
