Splash Poem by Megan Collins

Splash

The glistening sun reaches out and wraps its arms around the smiling clouds. Bright beams shine down on my shimmering water, waiting in anticipation for them to come. The tires are gliding on the rough black pavement. They’re parked now, walking happily over the green pigment. The swim suited bodies undress, waiting to dive, jump and leap. Many wet feet scurry to the rocks, and out to the docks. Radiant drops slide down the shadows, and drip silently onto the soggy path. Finally they make the immense splash; jumping off the sky high rocks. My waves dash universally, water droplets reaching far and wide. Splashes dance for hours, the happy never ending feel. Stars roll in; hot wind fumes for miles. The feet drive tiredly to there safe warm bed. My waters are settled until tomorrow.
